Ian Garner FCA CTA

Ian, who was born in Barnsley and has lived in the town most of his life , was a partner in the firm from 1989 to 2022 having joined Harris+Co after specialising in personal and capital taxation with a Big 4 firm. He headed up the firm’s taxation offering and is very proud of the fact that together with himself there are 8 other Chartered Tax Advisers in the firm making it the strongest representation of that professional body in the local area. As well as taxation he also provides accounting and general business advice to many of the firm’s owner-managed business clients. Although his wife Andrea has been heard to describe taxation as Ian’s hobby, he is also a keen golfer and Secretary to the oldest Friendly Society in the country.
