Paul Hinchliffe FCA CTA

Paul has 38 years’ experience as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser and, prior to his retirement in March 2023, led the firm’s audit and assurance services for larger owner-managed businesses across a wide range of industry sectors, including not-for-profit organisations. Before joining Harris+Co in 2004, Paul had enjoyed a 20-year career with a world-leading Big 4 professional services firm and always offered pragmatic, clear advice to organisations in an energetic, friendly, and approachable manner.

Paul is a family man and proud father of two daughters. He loves sport, particularly football, athletics, walking and the great outdoors, especially the Lake District where he has climbed all 214 Wainwright fells!

Now retired, Paul has a keen and active interest in the wider community and is Chair of the Board of Trustees at Barnsley Hospice, having previously held other voluntary roles including school Chair of Governors, Trustee and Treasurer to a local children's charity working principally in disadvantaged communities, Volunteer Junior Coach at a local running club and Treasurer and Member of two Parish Church Councils. In retirement, he has also discovered a love of singing and is a member of the community choir Barnsley Singers.
