Paul Hinchliffe FCA CTA

Paul is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser and leads the firm’s audit and assurance services for larger owner-managed businesses across a wide range of industry sectors, including not-for-profit organisations and charities. Paul also leads Harris+Co’s assurance services to academy schools in Yorkshire and advises on academies’ financial reporting, regulatory and governance responsibilities both during and after conversion. Paul is also the firm’s partner with responsibility for training and people development.

Before joining Harris+Co in 2004, Paul enjoyed a 20 year career with a world-leading Big 4 professional services firm and offers pragmatic, clear advice to organisations in an energetic, friendly and approachable manner. Outside work Paul has used these skills in a number of varying roles, including a school Chair of Governors and Chair of the Governance Development group in the local pyramid of 11 schools, Junior Athletics Coach, and not least, as a parent. Paul has also served as a Charity Trustee and Treasurer to a local children’s charity and two churches. Despite his ageing legs, in what little spare time remains, Paul is still a keen runner and completed the 2014 and 2015 Brathay Windermere marathon in his favourite place in the UK - the Lake District, where he is also around half way through completing the 214 Wainright fells.
